Baton Rouge Backyard Wedding - Jackson & Megan
I am still blown away at how Jackson and Megan’s wedding day came together. These two lovebirds have had to change their plans a number of times. Just one week before their wedding was set to take place at Lucky Plantation, a new mandate on gathering sizes, thanks to Covid-19, caused them to cut down their guest list and reconsider their wedding venue. Finally settling on having their wedding at Megan’s childhood home in Baton Rouge. hurricane Hanna was set to make its way across the Gulf of Mexico threatening to send rain their way, but the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
Once on the property I was greeted with beautiful, tall pine trees that lined a curved gravel driveway leading up to their house. It was the perfect spot for bridal and groom portraits and photos of their wedding party. The day before, I attended the wedding rehearsal and watched as the sun set over the pond in her front yard. The dock would make for some amazing portraits of Jackson and Megan after the ceremony.
Megan and Jackson’s wedding colors were a gorgeous mix of summery citrus hues of orange, yellow and red. Their wedding party wore matching colors giving the perfect pop to the outdoors. The floral arrangements Michelle at The Sentimental Petal put together were not only gorgeous, but extra special being the mother of the groom.
In the end, we were all amazed at how quickly, beautifully and perfectly everything came together. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their union. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Pierce!
